Current Restricions for Comunidad Valenciana

valid until Monday 12th April

THE BORDERS of the Communidad Valenciana remain closed to all but those who have a justified reason to enter or exit the autonomous community, such as work, education, health purposes, or care of dependents.

FACE MASKS must be worn at all times by those aged six years and above on the public highway and in outdoor spaces and any closed space for public use or open to the public, including beaches.

NIGHT CURFEW starts at 10.00pm every evening and you will not be allowed to leave your home except for justified reasons, such as going to or travelling from work, or visiting the health centre, etc. The curfew ends at 6.00am each morning.

SOCIAL GATHERINGS are limited to a maximum of four people in public spaces. Gatherings in private households are limited to those who live together.

BARS AND RESTAURANTS may open 100% of their licensed terrace capacity and 30% of their interior licensed capacity until 6.00pm each evening. There is a maximum of four people per table or group of tables and the appropriate distancing must be applied between separate tables, which is 1.5 metres on the terrace and 2.0m inside with the respect to occupancy of chairs, rather than the tables themselves.

SHOPS can open until 8.00pm each evening, ensuring full compliance with all the specific health protocols.

GYMS, SPORTS CENTREs, SWIMMING POOLS and other indoors sporting facilities can open to 30% of their licensed capacity and ensure that all the specific health protocols with regards their use are applied.


Vaccination

I HAVE A SIP: You will be contacted by the Health service when your vaccination is due. Therefore you should ensure that your details are up-to-date, particularly your mobile number as an SMS will be sent out with appointment details. You can check your information online (with or without a digital certificate or electronic ID) and amend if necessary in the following link or go direct to the health centre.

I DON’T HAVE A SIP: If you don’t have a SIP number, have private health insurance, etc., you won’t be excluded. But you do need to contact the health authorities as soon as possible. You can do this by several options. The easiest is by email – acredita@marinasalud.es – with the following documentation attached: a padrón certificate which is less than three months old and an identication document, such as a passport. You must also include a telephone number in the text so that you can be contacted. You can also ask for an administrative appointment on 96 564 8604 or 96 642 90 00. Or you can go direct to the health centre, taking along a valid padrón certificate and your ID.

VIRUS UPDATE: Three new positives in Xàbia; cases growing again in Marina Alta

Virus is also spreading slowly again across Spain but deaths are falling due to vaccination of at-risk groups.

Valencia to receive two million doses of Janssen vaccine between April and September

The single-dose vaccine will allow the immunization of two million Valencian women and men, which will contribute to substantially advance vaccination.

The vaccination of people aged 64 and 65 years has begun in the Marina Alta. The process began at 8.00am and will continue through to 9.00pm; the same will apply for tomorrow Wednesday. Remember: only those who have received an appointment via SMS (or a phone call from the Primary Care team) should attend these sessions. If you haven’t done so – and you think you qualify – see the note above with regards to vaccination and SIP registration.

The regional ministry of health has reported that the Comunidad Valenciana has passed the 3 million mark for the number of PCR tests carried out since the start of the pandemic, more than a million of which have been in the last three months alone. As for Spain as a whole, as of April 1st, the autonomous communities have collectively carried out a total of 37,012,618 COVID-19 diagnostic tests since the pandemic began; 28,028,393 PCR tests and 8,984,225 antigen tests.

Spain has extended the limits on flights arriving from Brazil and South Africa to 00:00 (CET) on Tuesday 27th April 2021, the fifth extension. Only those flights carrying exclusively Spanish citizens and residents in Spain, as well as those of Andorra, will be permitted, in addition to passengers in international transit to a non-Schengen country with a stopover of less than 24 hours who will not be allowed to leave the transit area of the Spanish airport.
