The Comunidad Valenciana registers 3,117 new cases of coronavirus and 5,597 discharges

3,117 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed through PCR or antigen tests; by province, the distribution of these new cases is 263 in Castellón, 1,496 in Valencia, and 1,358 in Alicante. In total, 344,098 positive cases have been recorded in the Comunidad Valenciana. There are currently 4 unassigned cases.

Outbreaks

There have been a total of 57 new outbreaks of the disease across the Comunidad Valenciana; by province, the distribution is 10 in Castellón, 36 in Valencia, and 11 in Alicante, of which 2 were in the Marina Alta region as follows:

  • Calp: 1 outbreak (7 cases – social)
  • Xàbia: 1 outbreak (3 cases – education)

There have now been 78 outbreaks of the coronavirus in the Marina Alta in 2021.

The origins of the new outbreaks in the region can be assigned 65% social, 23% education, 12% work.
