No fiestas in Xàbia but the council prepares for their return with printing contract

The new contract includes the preparation and printing of booklets for the four major fiestas as well as the international festival.

Another year without fiestas in Xàbia. However, Xàbia Council has decided to start seeking out a suitable company which will be responsible for the preparation and printing of the commemorative books for the four major festivals that are celebrated in the town, in order that the service can be awarded when the popular celebrations can be held again.

The details of the contract were published on the State Procurement platform a few days ago and includes an execution period of one year from its award. The tender bid is 140,000 euros and include two other elements that affect municipal daily life.

The contract has divided into three lots with a maximum price for each of them:

Lot 1: Institutional Stationery and Advertising & Promotional Graphics valued at a maximum of 84,318 euros (including IVA).

Lot 2: Signs and other advertising elements such as placards, banners, roll-ups, etc. valued at a maximum of 52,269 euros (including IVA).

Lot 3: Fiesta Commemorative Books, valued at 33,700 euros (including IVA).

For Lots 1 and 2, the council will 50 and 60 points to the best economic offer whilst Lot 3 the tender assessment will be based totally on the economic offer.

Among the details given, the number of booklets to be produced for each of the four major fiestas in town, as well as the international festival, has been given: Jesús Nazareno – 2,500; Fogueres de Sant Joan – 1,400; Moros i Cristianos – 1,000; Mare de Déu de Loreto – 1,000; Festival Internacional de Xàbia – 6,000 copies.

The contract also includes 300 report books for the issuing of fines, valued at a unit cost of 9.24 euros, and 1,000 Road Safety Education books for the specialized unit of the Policía Local, valued at 1.73 euros per unit.

The contract also includes all municipal stationery, envelopes, invitation cards as well as promotion material, such as caps, flyers, backdrops and T-shirts, among many other articles.
