After last year’s success, the Fiesta Commission of Mare de Déu de Loreto have organised the second edition of the VI VORA MAR wine festival for the weekend of Friday 19th May and Saturday 20th May in the port zone of Xàbia.

The wine festival will be based in Calle Severo Ochoa and will be open from 7.00pm each day until close. Tickets can be purchased on entry which will allow the tasting of a number of wines and accompanying snacks.

The Commission will present a wide selection of wines provided by Bodegas Xaló, a benchmark in wine culture in the Marina Alta region, offering a red, a white, a rosé. a vermouth, a mistela and a cava which will highlight the quality of production in the region.

In addition, the renowned Bodega Pradorey, from Burgos, will be participating as a guest winery, offering two wines – a red and a white – with which once can enjoy all the flavours of the Ribera del Duero.

Each of the wines will be complemented by bite-sized snacks and sweets which have been especially designed for the occasion and will have been paired properly with each glass. The route will also be accompanied by live music whilst the organisers don’t rule out a few surprises.

Through this initiative, the Fiesta Commission not only adds another activity to its annual calendar that aims to enhance the cultural, gastronomic and festive agenda of the municipality, but also the maintain the level of patron saint celebrations which take place in September which involves the collaboration of the residents of Xàbia.
