Councillor meets with Granadella residents to listen to their proposals

Councillor Juan Ortolá wants to guarantee the safety of both residents and holidaymakers all year round.

Juan Ortolá, the councillor responsible for Citizen Safety and Beaches, held a meeting this week with the president of the Granadella neighbourhood association, Roland Quesada, and members of the board of directors in order to address their demands and take note of their proposals to improve access to the cove for next summer.

In response, the councillor outlined the proposals of the new local government and assured the association that the town hall wants to ensure that a direct channel of communication is established between them.

Also attending the meeting were the security staff who have been responsible for controlling access to the coves of La Granadella and La Barraca who outlined the daily problems they face to guarantee the safety of all those who live in the area as well as those who enjoy their holidays in Granadella.

After the meeting, the councillor confirmed that he wanted to visit Cala Granadella to listen to the concerns of the residents, considering it important for the new government to maintain direct contact with them.

He said that he would convey all the proposals from the residents to the mayoress Rosa Cardona and the rest of the members of the local government so that they can all put themselves at the disposal of them to work side by side so that the beach continues to be “as we all know it” but above all to guarantee the safety of both residents and bathers, 365 days a year.
