Linking with sport is one of the main pillars of this year’s commemoration of International Women’s Day in Xàbia. Different activities are being carried out around the figure of the female athlete and, among them, those of a sporting nature stand out.
One of these proposals is the Martial Arts Seminar to be hosted this Saturday 12th March by local clubs Dojo-Do Jávea, Toro Prats Muay Thai – Kick Boxing, Escola de Capoeira Regional Remanescentes and Shodokan Aikido.
During the seminar, the clubs will offer an introduction to each of their specialties by their qualified teachers and coaches. As it is basic and simple knowledge, no previous experience or a specific physical level is required and it is open to people of all ages.
In addition, the meeting aims to publicize martial arts in Xàbia, the variety of options that exist to practice them, provide a series of self-defense skills, and transmit values that are developed with each one of them, such as confidence and security in oneself, discipline, humility and the benefits associated with sport.
The seminar will take place at the Palau Municipal d’Esports from 5.00pm to 7.00pm and, to participate, it is necessary to register in advance by calling 96 579 20 00.
