The Club Náutico Jávea windsurfer, José Luis Boronat, achieved third place in the Spanish IQFoil championship held last weekend in Puerto Sherry in the Bay of Cadiz as part of the XVIII Andalusian Olympic Week.

Boronat rubbed shoulders with the best IQFoil class sailors in the world, some of them international who are completely dedicated to the Olympic cycle (this is in preparation for the Paris Olympics).

In total, 37 windsurfers from Spain and the rest of the world participated, and in the absolute general classification, Boronat finished 8th. But in the national classification for Spanish competitors he was placed third.

Boronat continues to recover from an injury he suffered before the end of the year and little by little he is getting back in shape to compete again at the same level as the sailors who are in the Olympic campaign. In fact, at the CV Olympic Week a few weeks ago, he was the best of all the windsurfers who competed in the event in Santa Pola.
