The Parque Natural del Montgó continues to work on offering residents of the Marina Alta, and the many visitors who visit the region, an opportunity to discover the pecularities that makes the park a unique and valuable natural space of great biological and environmental value.

The summer season is an ideal time to carry out this objective and thus three very complete activities have been programmed through which the interested can discover the benefits that surround the feet of this imposing massif, for as one of the many legends tell us, one summer day he lay down with his feet in the water and fell asleep forever. The summer holidays are the perfect time to leave the network of trails and discover the marine side of the natural park.

All the activities require prior registration and full compliance with the health security measures that have been imposed by the regional government and the natural park itself.

The first of these activities is Paddling through the Natural Park and consists of a guided kayak tour from Las Rotas de Dénia through which those attending will learn more about the biodiversity of the Cap de Sant Antoni Marine Reserve and glimpse the beauty of this area and that dangers and threats that it faces.

This excursion will take place on Thursday 22nd July, Thursday 5th August, Thursday 19th August and Thursday 2nd September, with two tours available on each day at 8.45am and 11.00am. The price is 35 euros which includes accident and civil liability insurance, technical material and kayak instructors. The minimum age for participants is 14 years. Click here for more information.

The second activity – The Treasure of Cap de Sant Antoni – is also focused on highlighting the wealth of the headland but from another, more comfortable perspective aboard the Mundomarino catamaran. The tours are scheduled for Thursday 15th July, Thursday 29th July, Thursday 12th August and Tuesday 24th August; the tour on the 12th will start from the port of Xàbia whilst the others will begin in the port of Dénia.

The price is 12 euros for adults, 8 euros for children 4-10 years old, whilst it is free for the under-4s. Click here for more information and to register.

The third activity – Paddling at the foot of the Cape – offers a guided kayak tour through the Xàbia side of the marine reserve, exploring the Cala del Pope and the flora micro-reserve of L’Illot de la Mona.

These tours will take place on Tuesday 10th August and Saturday 18th September and, like the other kayak route, the price is 35 euros which includes accident and civil liability insurance, technical material and kayak instructors. Click here for more information and to register.
