Health Minister Carolina Darias has admitted that there could be a need for a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine due to the new variants of the coronavirus which could reduce the protection already being offered by the existing vaccine schedule, although this has not yet been proved by scientific research. She also admitted that citizens will almost certainly need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 every year.
