Xàbia Council has opened a public consultation period for the Municipal Acoustic Plan, the document that measures the noise level of the whole municipality.

This document was delivered to the town hall by the technical office that has drawn up it, with measurements carried out during the past year, and includes a report on the sound level at a large number of points in the municipality as well as in sensitive areas.

In fact, the document itself refers specifically to hospitality activity and quantifies 61 businesses in the Duanes de Mar neighborhood, another 27 in the historic centre and another 57 in Arenal (beach area and the neighborhood).

In this area, as reported a few weeks ago, the conclusions of the measurements made do not meet “the requirements for declaring the place as a ASV zone (Acoustically Saturated Zone)“, something that residents have been demanding for years and have reported to the Sindic de Greugues ombudsman, which has motivated the town hall to develop this acoustic plan.

From March 2nd, a period of 30 working days is therefore opened for the presentation of objections to this plan, as stated in the edict published on Monday in the Official Gazette of the Comunidad Valenciana.

The documentation of the plan can be consulted on the municipal website.
