Xàbia housewives association donates 600 euros to local branch of cancer charity

The Asociación de Amas de Casa de Xàbia – the housewives association – has delivered a cheque of 600 euros to the local cancer board in the municipality in order to support the actions carried out at the national level by the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer.

The formal delivery took place this week at the association’s headquarters, the president, Isabel Nadal, handed over a cheque with the amount to the representatives of the local board, Carmen Hernández and Luis Bas Segarra.

The local board will transfer this money to the provincial organisation in order to support the different lines of research against this disease that exist in the different universities and research institutes of reference throughout the country.

What is the Asociación de Amas de Casa de Xàbia?

It is a non-profit organisation, based in Ronda Sur, which offers different activities to learn and have fun, such as keep fit sessions, sewing, and organising trips, such as a recent long weekend in Aragón.
