Xàbia honours local basketball player Romà Bas

His two decade career has included six promotion, four of them to the Liga ACB.

Xàbia Council will hosting an official reception for the basketball player Romà Bas Marí in recognition of his entire sports career on Wednesday 13th April at 7.00pm in the plenary hall, an event that is open to friends, family and all Xàbia basketball fans.

Active since he started in the lower categories with CB Joventut Xàbia, Romà Bas has played in the professional league for two decades, playing for teams such as Gandía Basket, CB Sant Pola, AD Molinense, Grupo Iruña Navarra, Menorca Bàsket, Lucentum de Alicante, Club de Baloncesto Atapuerca, Deportivo Maristas de Palencia and Tau Castelló. During his career, he has won six promotions, four of them to the Liga ACB.

He is currently in out of the game, recovering from a knee injury.

Xàbia Council wants to value one of the town’s elite athletes and one who has had the greatest career in the history of local basketball.
