Turisme Comunitat Valenciana has launched the first 6,000 Bonos Viaje of the 2023 campaign, a regional government initiative which has a budget of 15 million euros, equal to that of the 2022 edition, and one which hopes to benefit between 120,000 and 150,000 people, who will add to the more than 260,000 who have enjoyed these special travel vouchers in its previous editions.

The Bono Viaje is an incentive program for internal demand for tourist services in seasonal periods, aimed at people living in the Comunidad Valenciana. In 2023, the aid is 60% of the cost of contracted tourist services, regardless of short or long stay, but with a minimum stay of two consecutive nights in the same accommodation, and up to a maximum of 600 euros.

The regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, explained that “the Bono Viaje is a positive stimulus initiative, which has been decided to be maintained over time due to its good reception and acceptance, both by the Valencian people themselves and by the sector itself, which has actively collaborated in its development.

Colomer has stressed that “the Comunidad Valenciana has been a pioneer in the implementation of this type of initiative” and that, in its three years of existence, “it has reaped so many successes”, adding that “its main purpose is to generate tourist activity in the region out of high season”.

How the Bono Viaje 2023 works

Beneficiaries who receive their Bono Viaje promotional code will have 10 business days to confirm their reservation at any of the 1,000 tourist establishments participating in the initiative, where both the stay and complementary services can be reserved, which also have a discount, such as maintenance, health and wellness treatments, sports activities, excursions, activities and parking.

Reservations can be made directly with the business participating in the campaign or through the travel agencies registered with it. The companies that are part of the program can be consulted online in this link.

Trips using the Bono Viaje must be made between January 16 and May 31, 2023, which corresponds to the first period of the this year’s campaign, and in which it is expected that more than 38,000 discount vouchers will be distributed during this first semester of the year. The second period of the campaign will take place from September to December 2023.

It should be remembered that the registration period for the 2023 Bono Viaje, which began on December 20th 2022, and in which more than 186,000 people registered in the first 24 hours alone, will be in force without interruption until November 30th 2023. This new campaign cancels the waiting list of the previous 2022 campaign.

Information on these aids is available on the website of the Bono Viaje Comunidad Valenciana 2023 (link) and, in addition, access to the electronic headquarters has been enabled for the registration application with two options: the request for a prior appointment and the registration process at the indicated time and day, which will require a certificate and electronic signature.

Individuals who, being of legal age, are registered in a municipality in the Comunidad Valenciana and enroll in the campaign can benefit from these aids. The beneficiaries must be up to date with their tax obligations and Social Security.
