THE ARENAL WILL HOSTING THE FIRST ARENALBLUES BATTLE OF THE BANDS
The groups will play on Friday and Saturday at different venues in the Arenal area and on Sunday the next edition of ArenalBlues will be presented.
The Arenal neighbourhood will have a blues feel to it this coming long weekend when the first ArenalBluesWay ‘Battle of the Bands’ will be taking place, an initiative organised by XàBlues in collaboration with the Arenal Trade Association and Xàbia Council. The competition aims to turn the beach zone into a large open stage in which blues music will be the main protagonist.
The first set of performances will be taking place on Friday 8th December, starting at 6.00pm with Renegades @ Octopus Tavern, then continuing at 8.00pm with Slideboy Vegas & His Blues Buddies @ The Auld Dubliner Pub, before concluding at 10.00pm with Carcoma @ Socco Jávea nightclub.
On Saturday 9th December, Canela Café Bar/Bar Piccolo will be hosting 3 Men Rocking at 4.00pm, after which there will be Elektics @ Paris 24 Club de Padel at 6.00pm, and the day will finish with Me & Mr T @ Isla Bonita at 8.00pm.
The winners will be determined by the public and voting ballots will be distributed at the first performance at Octopus Tavern so that those who attend all six performances can rank them 1-6 to find the winner.
And then, on Sunday 10th December at 12 noon, this musical weekend will conclude with a presentation of ArenalBlues 2024 and a special concert by Tamy & The Sweet Band.
