The money will be used to continue funding cancer research.

The organizers of the Cap de la Nau open sea swimming competition, which was held on last December, have delivered a cheque for 4,025.95 euros to the Xàbia Local Cancer Board this Friday.

The delivery took place at town hall and was chaired by the mayoress, Rosa Cardona and the councillor responsible for Sports, Toni Molina (PP), as well as the organizers of the event, headed by José Ramón García, and the representatives of the Local Cancer Board.

The funds contributed to the Local Board will be used to continue funding cancer research and the Local Board wanted to thank José Ramón García for this collaboration with the fight against cancer and hopes that this charity event will be the first of many more.
