The Volta a Peu Xàbia – Memorial Jose Albi takes place this Sunday 26th February, a road race between the port and Cala Blanca that will mean the closure of several roads as well as several parking restrictions, especially around the start and finish line outside Palau d’Esports.

From tomorrow Wednesday 22nd, the Policía Local will place signs warning that parking will be prohibited around the sports centre from midnight on Saturday 25th February. And then, from 7.00am, the whole area will be closed to traffic until the end of the event, which will be around 2.00pm.

With regards to the route, Avenida Mediterráneo, Calle Atenas and Calle Ultramar will be closed from 9.00am until 12 noon (although they will be re-opened earlier if the status of the race allows it) whilst there will be some points where the road will not be entirely closed off but traffic flow will be controlled by the local police.

The organisers and the town hall asks for the collaboration of all residents during this iconic event and requests that drivers follow the instructions of the police at all times so that the road race can take place safely.
