FOGUERES XÀBIA 2023 | Camela re-scheduled for this Friday

The popular band was forced to cancel last Saturday’s show after the death of the singer’s father.

The Department of Fiestas has confirmed that the long-awaited concert by the popular Spanish group ‘CAMELA’ which had to be cancelled just minutes before the show was due to start after one of the duo received the sad news that his father had passed away, has been re-scheduled for this Friday 16th June.

The group was well aware of the disappointment of the cancellation felt by their fans, many of whom had travelled some distance to attend the concert, and was keen to reorganise their schedule so that they could perform in Xàbia as soon as possible. Today, it has been confirmed that the concert, which is part of the ‘Que la música te acompañe’ nationwide tour, which take place at 11.30pm this Friday in the Plaza de la Constitución.

The concert will be free and fans of the veteran duo formed by María de los Ángeles Muñoz Dueñas and Dionisio Martin Lobato, the second best-selling band in Spain in the last two decades, will be able to enjoy a playlist featuring their latest songs as well as some of their greatest hits.

Following the concert, there will be a disco until 3.00am.

As a result of this re-scheduling, there are a couple of changes to the programme for the Fogueres Xàbia 2023 with the ‘Cena de Sobaquillo’ and ‘Música de los 60s/70s’, both in the Plaza de la Iglesia, brought forward to Thursday 15th June at the same time. The Gran Prix event originally scheduled for Friday 16th June has been cancelled.
