CD Jávea will play in Group III for 2022/2023 season

The 2022/2023 season kicks off on the weekend of September 3rd/4th 2022.

The Federació de Futbol de la Comunitat Valenciana (FFCV) has confirmed that the Regional Preferente League will be reverting back to four regional groups consisting of 72 teams – 18 teams in each group – with CD Jávea allocated to Group 3, which broadly covers the territory of the Comunidad Valenciana from the city of Valencia to Calpe.

The 2022/2023 season kicks off on the weekend of September 3rd/4th 2022. The first sixteen rounds will be played until the weekend of December 17th/18th 2022 before regional football halts for the Christmas break. The season resumes on the weekend of January 7th/8th 2023 and the regular season of 34 games will conclude on the weekend of May 20th/21st 2023 with two weekend breaks: March 18th/19th (San José / Fallas) and April 8th/9th (Easter).

Group 3

The return of the Regional Preferente to four groups means that CD Jávea will be facing nine new teams this coming season. CD Olìmpic (Xàtiva) and UD Benigànim were relegated from the Third Division at the end of last season whilst CF Cullera, CF Promeses Sueca and CDSB Ontinyent were promoted from the Regional Primera as champions of their respective groups. CE Alberic, UD Canals, UD Carcaixent and UD Castellonense played in the old Group 3 last season whilst CD Dénia, CE La Font d’En Carròs, CF UD Calpe, CF UE Tavernes Valldigna, L’Olleria CF, Muro CF, Ontinyent 1931 CF and SD Sueca are al familiar names from last season when competed along with CD Jávea in the old Group 4.

The Composition of the Groups for the 2022/23 Season

Primera Regional

The step below the Regional Preferente will consist of 128 teams divided into eight groups of 16 teams each.

Group 6 will consist of the Marina Alta teams Gorgos CF, CE Pedreguer, CF Orba and Pego CF as well as UD Oliva and CF Bellreguard.

Group 7 will consist of UD Benissa from the Marina Alta as well as UD Altea, CD Polop and CF Alfax del Pi, amongst others.

The Primera Regional season will begin on the weekend of September 17th/18th 2022 and finished on the weekend of May 20th/21st 2023.
