The Costa Blanca Yacht Association is looking for more active sailors who would like to train, and even race, with them on their small fleet of fantastic TOM 28 yachts, boats that have been specially designed for sail training and one-class racing.

According to the CBYA, there is probably nothing as full-on and exhilarating as racing a boat under sail, especially when that boat is designed to be raced. These yachts, which belong to Real Club Náutico Calpe, are rented by the association on most Thursday and Saturdays and they are able to offer all sailors first-class safety and technical knowledge and then the opportunity to take part in regattas and in-club ladders.

So, if you have ever fancied racing a sailboat, contact the CBYA – link – to start your training on these boats. You will be in good company because they have been used by several of the America’s Cup teams for training.

Do you own a boat on the Costa Blanca?

The Costa Blanca Yacht Association is the club for anyone who sails or motorboats in the area, and who wants to get the best from their sport.

For boat owners, they have arranged discounts at some local chandleries, access to regattas, access to training, access to information regarding insurance, marinas, passages, etc., and most importantly, they share local knowledge.

There is the chance to participate in raft-ups and flotilla holidays (locally as well as internationally), and they also host regular social and fun events.

They cater for all sizes of boats, from small dinghies to large yachts.

Contact the CBYA – link – for more information.

For many years, you’ve told us how much you love what we’re doing and some of you have even asked for ways to say thanks. For us, there really is nothing easier to show someone how much you appreciate their efforts than buying them a beer (or a wine; or even a coffee) – it’s so simple.
