Arts Society Marina Alta Autumn Lecture Season 2023

The lectures will be hosted by the Parador de Jávea and Salones Canor in Teulada.

The Arts Society Marina Alta has announced details of its 2023 Autumn season of professional arts lectures which will be hosted by the Parador de Jávea and Salones Canor in Teulada.

The lectures are:

Thursday 5th October 2023
THE CUISINE OF ART AND THE ART OF CUISINE
includes a feature presentation of Rijksmuseum Vermeer Exhibit narrated by Stephen Fry
Lecturer: Ghislaine Howard

Thursday 2nd November 2023
CHARLES DICKENS: THE MAN AND HIS LIFE THROUGH HIS CHARACTERS
Lecturer: Bertie Pearce

Thursday 7th December 2023
THE GREAT VELASQUEZ AT THE COURT OF MADRID
Lecturer: Jacqueline Cockburn

The same lecture will be presented at Salones Canor at 11.00am and then at Parador de Jávea at 7.30pm. The lectures are free for members whilst there is a charge of 15 euros for visitors in the hope that they will consider the Arts Society.

Its objective is to promote the enjoyment, knowledge and awareness of the arts internationally and to stimulate interest in the cultural heritage of Spain through lectures, e-newsletter and trips.
