Art exhibition aims to raise funds for essential supplies for Ukrainian refugees

From today, Monday, the Centro de Arts Lambert in Xàbia is hosting an art exhibition from today, Monday to raise funds to help the victims and provide basic necessities to the thousands of refugees that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is causing. The exhibition will remain open until Thursday 10th March.

Working very much against the clock, organisers Anton Gudzykevych and Mariia Zhurykova, a couple of artists from Ukraine who live in Xàbia, have had the collaboration of up to 17 local artists who have donated their work. The money collected from the sale or auction of the works will be donated to the Red Cross has enabled a special service for this emergency.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 5.00pm to 9.00pm on the ground floor of the Centro de Arts Lambert (Calle Mayor, 43). This morning the mayor, José Chulvi, was able to greet the organizers while they were finalizing the assembly of the exhibition and to thank them for the initiative.
