ANNUAL ELF RUN RAISES RECORD AMOUNT FOR CHARITY

Almost 1,500 euros was collected for the Raquel Paya Special Needs School in Dénia.

The annual charity Elf Run, organised by the Lancashire Bruja bar in the Arenal, raised a record 1,467.68 euros for the Raquel Paya Special Needs School in Dénia. More than 30 people dressed as Santa’s little helpers to participate in a bar crawl around the Arenal zone, raising money for the school.

More than half of the total amount was raised on the day through the Elves bucket collection (804.09 euros) whilst the balance was collected from the bar tin (181.59 euros), Tina’s Giant Cupcake Raffle (168 euros), Joan’s Charity Cards (64 euros) and Sue’s Xmas Cakes & Bakes Sale (250 euros).

The organisers Stephen & Christina – Mr and Mrs Claus – wanted to acknowledge everyone who participated in this special day: Geographic; Lee Pepper at The Fish & Chips Bar who provided some much-needed “fish nibbles” and gave a present of a lightsabre to each of the little elves which helped the older elves keep track of them in the dark; the Richmond Bar and The Auld Dubliner which was the last pit-stop where the participants enjoyed some more nibbles and some awesome rock music from Blackjack to round off a very successful Elf Run 2023.
