Xàbia Strengthens Its Reputation as a Safe and Secure Municipality
Local Security Board reports improving crime figures and reaffirms commitment to prevention and public safety.
The Local Security Board, chaired by mayor Rosa Cardona, met to review the current situation and ongoing trends in public safety across Xàbia. The overall assessment of the meeting was highly positive, highlighting that the town continues to maintain optimal security indicators that safeguard residents’ well being.
During the session, attended by representatives of the various Security Forces and Corps, it was confirmed that crime figures are steadily improving. Technical assessments agree that the prevention strategy and visible police presence on the streets are achieving the objectives set.
The mayor and the councillor responsible for Public Safety, Juan Ortolá (CpJ), expressed strong satisfaction with the data, noting that stability and the reduction in criminal offenses are the direct result of close cooperation among all security forces.
“The data confirm that we are a safe municipality. These optimal indicators are not the result of chance, but of coordinated effort and strategic planning that places citizens at the centre of all our policies,” the Mayor stated.
Despite the positive outlook, the local council emphasized that it will not become complacent. Both the Mayor and the councillor for Public Safety used the meeting to reaffirm their commitment to citizen security as a cornerstone of their administration, ensuring that efforts will continue to focus on optimizing resources and implementing new measures to further strengthen public peace and safety.
