Xàbia Council has completed the renovation project of Camí Cabanes and the road has returned to ful operational in time for Easter, a period when the town welcomes a large number of visitors.

The project, carried out by the public company AMJASA, involved replacing a section of the main DN400 pipeline along Camí Cabanes, specifically between the intersection of the CV-740 and CV-742 roads and the junction with Camí Massenes. The existing infrastructure, a fibre cement pipeline installed in the early 1980s, was in an advanced state of deterioration, making its replacement necessary to ensure both safety and service quality.

The works have renewed approximately 300 metres of piping and have also allowed for 1,151 metres of the old fibre cement pipeline to be taken out of service, significantly reducing the risk of breakdowns and potential disruptions to both the roadway and the drinking water supply. The total cost of the project amounts to €215,890 (VAT included).
