Xàbia launches tender to convert former caretaker’s house into new classroom
Renovation aims to equip CEIP Arenal with a space for two-year-olds by next school year.
Xàbia Council has approved the tender process for renovation work on the former caretaker’s house at CEIP Arenal, with the aim of creating a new classroom for two-year-old pupils.
The project has a budget of 106,139.22 euros (VAT included) and an expected completion period of four months. It is based on the specific administrative terms and conditions already validated and approved by the Council, which will govern the contract award procedure.
The council aims for the classroom to be ready for the next school year.
At the same time, the council has carried out temporary maintenance work at the same school in recent weeks, waterproofing an area affected by leaks from the terrace. The Department of Education has informed municipal technicians that this defective section and the resulting damp issues are expected to be resolved as soon as possible.
