Xàbia Launches €200,000 Consumer Voucher Scheme to Boost Local Trade
Residents can buy €100 vouchers for €50 under the 2025–2026 Bonos Consumo campaign, with record business participation.
Xàbia Council has unveiled its new Bonos Consumo campaign for 2025–2026, an initiative designed to stimulate economic activity in the municipality and provide direct support to local businesses. This year’s programme is financed entirely through municipal funds, with a total budget of €200,000.
Under the scheme, residents can purchase vouchers worth €100 for just €50, to be spent at participating local shops and services. A total of 4,000 cards will be made available to the public. Vouchers can be used between 22 December and 11 January at any of the businesses taking part in the campaign.
This edition marks a record level of participation from the local commercial sector, with 142 establishments signed up, the highest number since the programme began.
One of the main changes this year is the absence of a mobile app, following technical issues beyond the council’s control that affected the previous edition. As a result, the entire process will be handled exclusively through the official website.
Vouchers can be purchased from this Friday 19th December at 8.00am via the website bonsconsum.xabia.es. Buyers must enter their DNI or NIF; passports are not accepted. The system will automatically verify that the applicant is registered as a resident in Xàbia, is over 18 years of age and has no outstanding debts with the administration. Once validated, payment can be completed online. Users will then be able to select a day and time slot to collect their card in person from Monday 22nd December onwards at the municipal offices in the Port, the historic centre or the Arenal. Afternoon collection times will also be available.
Residents aged over 65 will have the option of completing the process online like other users or requesting an appointment to attend the municipal offices in person, where staff will assist them with both the application and payment.

Participating businesses cover a wide range of sectors, including food shops, fashion, footwear, jewellery, opticians, bookshops, mobile phone stores, restaurants, hair and beauty salons, sports retailers, pharmacies, homeware, hardware, florists, pet shops and other services, spread throughout the municipality.
