Xàbia Hosts Second “Teixit Social Solidari” Fair This Sunday
A full-day community gathering that celebrates local associations and raises funds for charitable causes.
Xàbia will host the second edition of the “Teixit Social Solidari” Solidarity Fair this Sunday 7th December, from 11.00am to 7.00pm on Avenida Jaume I in Duanes de la Mar. The event was created to highlight the town’s network of local associations and the important role they play in building a more caring community. After last year’s success, the fair returns with more participants and a wider range of activities.
The councillor responsible for Social Services, Raquel Violero (PP), explained that the fair “is not only an opportunity to spotlight the generous spirit of the Christmas season, but also to give local associations and causes a chance to be seen. It’s essential,” she adds, “for residents to know what’s happening in Xàbia and how support is offered across different areas of the town. It’s also especially valuable for the associations themselves to get to know one another.”
This year’s fair will feature twenty-two stands from entities representing a range of fields. Although not all of them are strictly charitable organisations, they share a strong social commitment, and all proceeds will be directed to various good causes. Visitors will find an eclectic mix of proposals, from food and Christmas décor to other locally crafted initiatives.

Throughout the day, there will be entertainment for all ages. The morning kicks off at 12.00 midday with the family show “En busca de las cartas robadas” performed by magician Taxán. From 12.30pm to 5.00pm, children can enjoy a series of ongoing workshops designed to let them learn as they play.
At 1.00pm, the fair will get moving with “Todos a Bailar”, a zumba session led by Carolina Abril from the Dénia Dance & Fitness Association. The programme wraps up at 5.00pm with “El Show de Zapatones”, a circus performance that will bring the day to a lively close.
Organisers encourage the entire community to come out, support the participating groups, and contribute to the charitable initiatives they champion.
The second “Teixit Social Solidari” Fair is organised by the Xàbia Port traders’ association and Xàbia Council, with support from the Alicante Provincial Council and the Valencian Government.
