A player from the Club d’Escasc Xàbia, Noa Mulet Salvá, has been called up to join the chess team of the Comunidad Valenciana to compete in the Spanish Under-16 Women’s Championship which is being held in Santander.

Born in Gata, the club website explains that Noa started playing chess at a very young age, under the direction of coach Francisco Morató. With the effort and the support of Morató Mulet, she has achieved the success required to be called up to represent the autonomous community.

The club thanked Noa’s family for their support, including her brother Jeroni who is also passionate about chess.
