Xàbia celebrates gala to recognise its traders

Armell, ArtDidactic, BioHurtado and Infinity Jewelery & Gentleman, the winners

For the past two years, October 25th has been a day dedicated to local commerce after an agreement of the regional Ministry of Sustainable Economy and Commerce with the support of CONFECOMERÇ – the Trade Confederation of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia – which has aimed to provide visibility to the work of local commerce as a key piece of the Valencian socio-economic fabric, an essential element to promote the quality of life in towns and cities.

In Xàbia, the Department of Economic Dynamization has announced that a special Commerce Gala will be taking place on Wednesday 25th October, an event which aims to highlight and support the municipality’s local business network.

The responsible councillor, Juanlu Cardona, explained that the local council wanted to recognise the local entrepreneurs who open their businesses every day and give life to the town’s urban centres.

Four awards will be presented to four different businesses in Xàbia, which have been selected by a jury formed from the councillor himself and specialists from Commerce and the Consumer Office, the manager of FORXA (the Federation of Trade Associations in Xàbia) and a representative of CREAMA Xàbia.

The winners are:

  • Commercial Career: Armell (Carrer Major, 37) – Home Decoration
  • Young Entrepreneur: ArtDidactic (Ronda Sur, 12) – Hobby Shop
  • Sustainable Business: BioHurtado (Carrer Andrés Lambert, 11) – Grocer
  • Innovative Commerce: Infinity Jewellery & Gentleman (Calle Sevilla, 1) – Jewellery & Fashion
