Xàbia Boosts Local Trade and Leisure with the Launch of Mercats Riurau d’Arnauda
A new monthly market will blend local produce, crafts, and antiques in the unique setting of Riurau d’Arnauda.
Xàbia is expanding its leisure and local commerce offerings with the launch of Mercats Riurau d’Arnauda, a new market created with long term continuity in mind and a programme designed to attract both residents and visitors. The initiative introduces a weekend format that alternates between two complementary themes: local produce and crafts on the one hand, and the world of antiques and vintage on the other.
According to information shared by the town hall on social media, the market will be held on the last weekend of each month in the surroundings of the Riurau d’Arnauda which sits amongst the trees of Parque Montaner, just above the Plaza de la Constitución, the location of the weekly market.
On Saturdays, the Mercat d’Origen de la Marina Alta will focus on local producers and creators whilst Sundays will be dedicated to the Mercat d’Antiguitats i Vintage, aimed at antique dealers and retro inspired offerings.
The event will also feature a cultural and leisure programme, including workshops, live music, and family friendly activities, with the aim of turning the market into a full weekend experience. Organisers have issued a call to local producers, artisans, and antique dealers interested in taking part in this new initiative.
Those wishing to receive further information or to complete their registration can do so by emailing mercat.riurauxabia@xabia.org or calling +34 640 69 46 48. With this initiative, Xàbia adds a new showcase for local trade and artisan creativity, while reviving the appeal of traditional antique markets in a distinctive setting such as the Riurau d’Arnauda.
