Xàbia awarded €1 million grant for complete redevelopment of Parque Montaner
The three-year project aims to create a more sustainable, inclusive, and community-focused public space
Xàbia has received a direct grant of €1,000,000 from the Generalitat Valenciana for the comprehensive redevelopment of Parque Montaner. The resolution was published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana on November 12th 2025.
The project, set to unfold over the next three years, will completely renew the park’s existing infrastructure and facilities. Located between Plaza de la Constitución and IES Antoni Llidó, the 13,207 square metre open space will undergo extensive upgrades, including the modernization of playgrounds and urban furniture, the creation of new functional areas designed to meet current social needs, and improvements to the environmental and urban quality of the surroundings.
The goal of this initiative is to transform Parque Montaner into a safe, accessible, and inclusive public space that promotes social cohesion, the responsible use of green areas, and climate resilience. The project forms part of the municipality’s broader strategies for urban regeneration, green infrastructure, and public health, reinforcing the local council’s commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life.
