TRAM d’Alacant Carried 1.3 Million Passengers in January
Line 2 was the busiest, with 544,199 trips, while Luceros topped the station traffic chart with 220,493 journeys.
TRAM d’Alacant transported 1,350,761 passengers across its network in January. The system includes four tram lines, one train-tram line, and one conventional train line. The busiest day of the month was Friday, January 30, with 56,172 passengers.
Overall, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) recorded a total of 9,129,350 passengers in January, combining the 1,350,761 TRAM d’Alacant users with 7,778,589 Metrovalencia riders.
Looking at usage by line, Line 2, connecting Luceros and San Vicent del Raspeig, was the most popular with 544,199 trips. It was followed by Line 1 (Luceros–Benidorm) with 278,076 trips, Line 3 (Luceros–El Campello) with 189,476, Line 4 (Luceros–Plaza La Coruña) with 143,645, Line 9 (Benidorm–Dénia) with 124,730, and Line 5 (Porta del Mar–Plaza La Coruña) with 70,635 trips.
In terms of stations, Luceros led the way with 220,493 passengers, followed by Mercado with 122,016. Other top stations included Sant Vicent del Raspeig (89,323), Benidorm (74,056), and Marq-Castillo (62,968). Rounding out the top ten were Bulevar del Plá (41,911), Garbinet (41,126), El Campello (38,642), La Goteta–Plaza Mar 2 (36,972), and Pintor Gastón Castelló (36,934).
