The young tennis player Keoni Puig from the Academia de Tenis Ferrer in Xàbia has been proclaimed champion of the Circuito Rafa Nadal Tour tournament that took place in Seville this past weekend.

Puig participated in the men’s U-14 category and managed to beat Rubén Fernández, one of the main rivals, in the final. Not surprisingly, he occupies the second position in the tournament ranking. Puig managed to win by a double 6-4.

The young tennis player from the academy won 90 points in the tournament ranking in a competition promoted by the Mallorcan tennis player through his foundation to promote the will to complete the sports competition with an educational aspect.

In each of the tournaments, activities and dynamics are carried out that aim to promote fundamental values in the players for their personal and sporting development. Precisely, the incorporation of “training in values” is a fundamental pillar of the circuit and one of the aspects that has given it a unique character.

The Rafa Nadal Tour by Santander 2021 will stop at: Barcelona (RCT Barcelona – 1899), Seville (Club Río Grande), Valldoreix-Barcelona (Club Esportiu Valldoreix – BTT), Valencia (Spanish Tennis Club), Alicante (Club Atlético Montemar ), Madrid (International Tennis Club).

Another player from the Academia de Tenis Ferrer, Jessica Bouzas, was competing in a tournament in Antalya (ITF Turkey 09A), but on Monday she was defeated in the tie break by another Spaniard, Alba Rey, 0-6, 6-4, 10-8.
