Residents Begin Returning to Jávea Park Building After Fire
Xàbia Town Council authorizes phased return following structural inspection, with second floor remaining off limits pending safety works.
The town hall in Xàbia has reported that, following an inspection carried out this Monday morning by Mayor Rosa Cardona, accompanied by municipal technical staff and members of the Guardia Civil, the Alicante Provincial Fire Brigade and the Cruz Roja, it has been determined that all residents of the Jávea Park building affected by the fire may return to their homes, with the exception of those living on the second floor, where the fire originated.
After a technical assessment of the building’s structural condition and confirmation that essential services are functioning properly, a phased return of residents has been authorized. Neighbours have already begun re-entering their homes throughout the morning.

In the case of second-floor residents, and due to the condition in which that area of the building was left, their permanent return will be postponed until the necessary works have been completed to fully guarantee their safety. However, these residents are being accompanied by technical staff to collect personal belongings and meet basic needs, while they remain temporarily accommodated in the facilities provided.
At the same time, cleaning and maintenance teams continue to work intensively on the property, carrying out disinfection tasks and improving and restoring common areas, with the aim of returning the building to normal as soon as possible.
The town hall statement stresses that the local council remains committed to closely monitoring the situation and expresses its gratitude for the cooperation, coordination and sense of responsibility shown by all emergency personnel involved and by residents during these days.
