THE CHARITY LIBRARY AND BOOKSHOP

With over 13,000 high-quality books available to borrow and buy, the Charity Library and Bookshop in Javea Park is a treasure trove for book lovers.

We’re proud to be Spain’s oldest English-language library and the largest on the Costa Blanca. Library memberships are available from just €5, with options ranging from four weeks to one year.

Our collection of books includes a wide range of fiction and non-fiction for both adults and children, primarily in English. We also have a selection of books in Spanish, Dutch, French, and German. In the Bookshop, you can purchase books for just a few euros—or even less!

We offer a variety of specialist sections including travel, cookery, history, biographies, children’s books, as well as DVDs, CDs, and talking books. Thanks to the generous donations we receive, our stock changes daily—so there’s always something new to discover.

In partnership with The Original Charity Shop, we’ve been raising vital funds for local causes and charities in Javea and the surrounding areas for over 50 years. All proceeds go directly to support the community.

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 10am–1pm

Location: In Javea Park—enter through the arch next to Humpty Dumpty’s newsagents, turn left, go through the gate, and you’ll find us between Pub in the Park and the Barbers. You can also reach us from the Javea Park Car Park on Avinguda de Paris.
