Photo Gallery: Festes Loreto 2025 – Presentation Night

Xàbia kicked off ten days of festivities on Friday evening with the presentation of the 2025 edition of the Mare de Déu de Loreto celebrations – better known as the port fiesta. The event officially opened the programme in honour of the patron saint of the maritime district.

The stars of the night were the Mayorales and Mayoralesas 2025, who this year are: Juan Vicente Álvarez Catalá and Tere Cruañes Bas, Juan Polvoreda Sala and Vicenta Torres Catalá, Toni Cholbi Cholbi and Natalia Bustos Roselló, Vicente Soler Roselló and Arantxa Mateo Buigues, Mireia Font Mateo and Carles Alonso Castell, and Paloma Ferrer Toribio and Frank Suárez Minaya.

Both the new mayorales and the latest members of the Fiesta Commission were formally welcomed with the traditional presentation of the sash and medal, a gesture rich in symbolism, devotion, and continuity.

The evening was attended by representatives from neighbouring municipalities such as Gata de Gorgos and El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, as well as local fiestas including the Fogueres de Sant Joan, the Moors & Christians, and the Casa de Andalucía. Official speeches, filled with emotion and good wishes, were followed by a rousing rendition of the Valencian hymn, sung with passion before fireworks lit up the night sky.

The celebrations continued well into the early hours as crowds danced to the music of La Fiesta, setting the perfect tone for the days of tradition, devotion, and merriment still to come.
