Jávea were unable to overcome CFI Alicante in a match where the home side controlled much of the first half. Despite Jávea’s dominance, the visitors struck first with a move down the right, a low cross leaving Felipe to score into an empty net. The hosts equalised moments later from a set piece, Edu delivering a precise ball that Joan Signes headed home. With few chances for either side, Alicante regained the lead on the half hour through a free kick that Héctor finished with a header. The first half ended 1-2.

The second half began without changes, with Ivorra’s team continuing to dominate but struggling to create clear chances. Adrián and Maverick repeatedly supplied balls into the box, yet Alicante’s defence held firm. Jávea pushed with plenty of effort, though nerves and a lack of precision in front of goal proved costly. The match stretched to the 97th minute due to the visitors’ time-wasting, but the score remained unchanged.

CD Jávea drop to 8th spot on 16 points, nine points adrift of the top three. Next weekend, they make the short journey down the coast to take strugglers UD CF Calpe, who find themselves in the bottom three having gone six without a win.
