Barely three months have passed since the festivities in honour of the Mare de Déu de Loreto came to a close, and the Fiesta Commission is already eager to celebrate again with all the residents of Xàbia.

Around the official feast day of the Virgen de Loreto on December 10, the commission is once again organising LoretoFest for the third consecutive year. This lively initiative aims to energize the Duanes de la Mar and raise funds for the group’s year-round activities and for the 2026 patronal festivities.

The events will take place on Saturday 6th December and Wednesday 10th December whilst the commission will also take part in the second edition of the Fira Solidària de Nadal, organized by the Xàbia Port merchants’ association, on Sunday 7th December.

On Saturday 6th December, Paseo Jaime I will host a day of celebration and community cheer. Starting at 11.30am, the fiesta commission will open a bar separate from its world-famous Baret dels Bous a la Mar, serving drinks and tapas at accessible prices. Music, workshops, and children’s games will begin at noon, and from 2.00pm paella will be available for anyone who purchases a ticket. Later in the afternoon, from 3.30pm to 7.00pm, a seafront tardeo will feature a performance by the duo Sweet Sould.

On Sunday 7th December, the Fiesta Commission will join the Fira Solidària de Nadal organized by the Xàbia Port merchants’ association together with the Department of Social Services.

The fair will take place along Avenida Jaime I. True to its strong charitable spirit, the fiesta commission will be one of more than twenty stalls participating in the second edition of this event, rounding off a full weekend of activities in Duanes de la Mar.

The commision will also once again install a bar to serve visitors throughout the fair. From midday, paella will be available at popular prices, and from 4.30pm, the group will sweeten the children’s main performance by serving hot chocolate for everyone.

On Wednesday 10th December, the official feast day of their patron, the commission will be holding a thanksgiving Eucharist at 7.30pm in the Duanes parish church.
