Jávea Players offer a new summer date for your diary
This year’s Summer Show returns to Little Grimley after the success of the last year’s ‘The Last Tango’
The Jávea Players’ Summer Show is always a sell-out event, so make a note of the dates now: Monday 30th June to Saturday 5th July. The evening starts with the usual al fresco tasty seven-tapas dinner at Bar Imperial in the old town, followed by the play in the Casa de Cultura, just a few steps away.
Little Grimley features again as ‘The Last Tango’ proved such a hit last year. Having sold sufficient tickets to keep the hapless amateur dramatic group afloat, thanks to a sexy show, this year chairman Gordon decides he’ll turn his hand to writing his own play. “The public likes a good whodunnit.”
However, in a bizarre twist, he finds himself embroiled in a real-life murder mystery which threatens to put him behind bars. The quarrelsome quartet have been in some sticky situations over the years, but can they get away with murder?
The play is directed this year by Paul Hunter.
Tell your friends and book your seats. The Box Office opens on 30th May. Tickets cost €27. The dinner starts at 19.00, the play at 21.00. For full details see www.javeaplayers.com.
