In December 2015, while rummaging through an antique market, we stumbled upon a place where the owners were emptying homes for free and then selling the items they took. Among all that junk, we found Carmen Muñoz’s correspondence with her husband from the late 1950s. And so, for 20 euros, we bought a piece of someone’s life: her letters and some photographs. This project stems from the desire not to forget, to raise awareness of the importance of each person’s life and the experiences and memories that shape it and us, even if those memories end up being sold for a few euros at a flea market.
