Elf Run 2025 pushes past 1,440€ as community spirit lights up Javea
Donations continue to arrive after a lively day of costumes, cakes and cheerful persuasion.
The Lancashire Bruja Elf Run 2025 has already generated 1,443.26€, with more expected as late donations continue to land like festive snowflakes. Organisers say the steady flow reflects the generosity that coloured the entire event, from bucket rattlers to bakers.
Much of the total came from the Elves Bucket Collecting team, who gathered 912.05€ while weaving through the crowds. The Bar Tin added 279.31€, while a spontaneous whip-around at one participant’s mum’s campsite contributed 151.90€. The day ended with an unexpected flourish when Kim and Gaz from The Secure Storage Javea handed over a 100€ donation after the festivities had wrapped.
Fundraising grew its own friendly rivalries. The quiz champions, delightfully titled The Elves Are At It Again, took victory through the combined efforts of Sue, Tina, Ravenna, Elaine and Linda. Meanwhile, the Bucket Collection Winners, Tipsy Toes, earned their crown through spirited teamwork, aided by Michelle’s memorable detour to Kathmandu Restaurant with a donation bucket in hand.
Sales of Sue’s Christmas cakes and bakes are still under way, promising to lift the final total even higher. And amid the day’s whirl of elf hats and good cheer, one more figure drew a warm nod: Caroline of All the Jingle Ladies, whose lively persuasion helped funnel yet more coins into the cause.
Organiser Cristina described the community’s support as something she never takes for granted. “I am always eternally grateful for every penny donated as it goes to the Special Needs School in Denia where my brother went to and who do so much for each child to live their life to the fullest. You all did absolutely FANTASTIC! Now on to planning 2026!”
With donations still trickling in, the Lancashire Bruja’s Elf Run’s bright spirit looks set to carry on well beyond the season.
