EASTER CRAFT FAIR FILLS HISTORIC CENTRE WITH STALLS OFFERING FOOD AND DECORATION

The annual craft fair will remain open over the long Easter weekend with complementary entertainment.

As has long been tradition over the Easter weekend, the streets and squares of the historic centre of Xàbia have been filled with vibrant colour and fantastic smells as around 80 stalls participate in the annual Easter Craft Fair.

The fair was officially inaugurated at midday on Good Friday by Fogueres Queens Arantxa Pons and Júlia Leyda, accompanied by mayor Rosa Cardona and representatives from the local council and the local trade association. Set up in Placeta del Convent and Plaça del Baix as well as the long Carrer Mayor in between, the stalls have been offering everything from jewellery and textiles to food and snacks.

The fair will remain open until Monday 1st April and complemented entertainment including traditional music and dancing, children’s workshops, a local products market, and the traditional gathering of peñas, groups and association around the church of San Bartolomé on Easter Sunday.
