CD Jávea 2025/26 – Pre-Season Friendlies Announced
The club has also been confirming the arrivals and departures from the coaching and playing staff as well as those who will be remaining to face the new challenge.
CD Jávea have announced their first team pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2025/26 season, which is scheduled to start on the weekend of 13th/14th September. The players return for pre-season training on Friday 1st August before preparing for the new season with a number of friendly matches against teams across the region.
The first pre-season fixture is set for Friday 8th August at the Campo d’Esports Municipal in Xàbia, kick-off time to be confirmed, against CE La Font d’En Carròs, a side from Group 3 of the Primera FFCV which finished 7th in the table last season. This will be followed by another home game against Gorgos CF on Tuesday 12th August (kick-off time to be confirmed), a side which play in Group 6 of the Segona FFCV – two tiers below the Lliga Comunitat – and finished 6th in the table.
On Wednesday 13th August, Gandia CF will travel down the coast to take on the ‘rojiblancos’ at the Campo d’Esports Municipal (kick-off time to be confirmed) as part of their own preparations for facing life in the second tier of regional football in the Comunidad Valenciana after suffering relegation from the Lliga Comunitat at the end of last season.
On Thursday 21st August, at the Campo d’Esports Municipal, kick-off time to be confirmed, FB Teulada-Moraira will make the short journey to Xàbia, a side which won promotion to the Primera FFCV Group 4 after finished runners-up and winning their play-off game against Deutsche Schule Valencia FC. Two days later, on Saturday 23rd August, UD Calpe will be visiting Xàbia for the first real test for the ‘rojiblancos’ against a side from the same tier; the Calpinos finished 13th in the Lliga Comunitat at the end of last season, one spot above the relegation zone.
CD Jávea will also be playing a couple of pre-season friendlies away from home. On Wednesday 27th August, they will take on Atzeneta UE from the Tercera Federación, one tier above the Lliga Comunitat, at the football complex in Oliva Nova, kick-off time to be confirmed, whilst the ‘rojiblancos’ will travel inland to face Pego CF on Saturday 30th August, kick-off to be confirmed, at the Campo Cervantes de Pego.
Finally, to be confirmed, CD Jávea will face Benidorm CF, relegated from the Tercera Federación at the end of the last season. on Friday 5th September, venue to be determined.
Squad Details
Off the pitch, CD Jávea have been working hard over the past few weeks. The coaching staff was secured almost as soon as the last ball of the season was kicked with Julio Ivorra continuing as head coach, Dani Fliquete remaining as goalkeeper coach, Raúl Romera staying as physical preparation coach as well as Rubé Ramiro continuing in the role of sporting director.
With regards to the players, club skipper Aldo Michan has been confirmed for another season as well as central defender Victor Caturla, attacking midfielder Lucas Destefano who scored nine goals last season and made the most appearances (28+1), striker José Cabo, top scorer in the 2022-23 (8) and 2023-24 (9) seasons, midfielder Joan Signes, who scored five goals in 27+1 appearances last season, young midfielder Adrián Gil, who scored four vital goals last season, including three winners, goalkeeper Fede Aguilar. named most valuable keeper of the season for Group 4, midfielder Josep Marcilla, who made 26+1 appearances last season, young midfielder Nico SanJuan, who made most of his 23 appearances last season coming off the bench, Obina Keneth, who made 14+4 appearances last season, striker Aliouane Diop, whose arrival midway through last season proved to be a huge success as he finished the campaign as top scorer with 12 goals from 14 appearances, solid defender Isac Gomis, who made 24+3 appearances last season
New arrivals include defender Paolo Ayala, who is actually returning to the club after spending the last three seasons at UD Calpe; he made almost 100 appearances for the ‘rojiblancos’ between 2018 and 2022, 22-year-old midfielder Maverik Castro who made 29 appearances for CD Dénia last season, 20-year-old defender Joan Pedro who played a couple of games for CF Orba last season and is the product of the youth academy at CD Dénia, 21-year-old midfielder Omar Fernández, who made 23 appearances for CE La Font d’En Carròs, 24-year-old goalkeeper Salva Martínez, who made 27 appearances between the sticks for CD El Campello, 21-year-old midfielder Joel Navarro who made 27 appearances for CD El Campello last season, scoring 10 goals.
Those players who will not be returning for the new campaign are Miller Hales, Hugo Orihuel, Daniel Lugo, David Escudero, Elian Espinoza, Offi Ukwu, Leo Blaso, Dani Jornet and Javi Berenguer.
