Arts Society Marina Alta presents The Architecture of Mughal India
The lecture will take place on Wednesday 1st October at the Casa de Cultura in the historic centre of Xàbia.
The Arts Society Marina Alta are absolutely delighted to announce details of their first autumn 2025 lecture ‘The Architecture, Palace & Gardens of Mughal India’, presented by Dr. John Alexander Stevens
Before the British arrived in India, the subcontinent was ruled by the Mughal Emperors. The stunning architecture and gardens of the 16th and 18th Centuries left an indelible stamp on India’s cultural landscape. John weaves a compelling story of one of the most prolific eras in our cultural history.
The lectures will take place on Wednesday 1st October 2025 at the Espai la Senieta in Moraira at 11.00am (doors open at 10.15am) and at the Casa de Cultura in Plaça del Baix in the heart of the historic centre of Xàbia at 7.30pm (doors open at 6.45pm).
Both lectures are priced at 15 euros for guests (prepaid donation) but are free for members of The Arts Society and seats can be booked in advance by contacting the Arts Society by email at marinaalta@theartssociety.org or online here.
