Jávea Players – “Ripcord” Brings Sharp Wit and Surprising Rivalry to the Stage in Jávea
Comedy about two feisty roommates runs April 20–25 at the Jávea Players Studio.
A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate at the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility. When cantankerous Abby is forced to share her prized quarters with newly arrived Marilyn, what begins as a seemingly harmless bet soon escalates into a fierce and hilarious game of one-upmanship.
David Lindsay-Abaire’s acclaimed comedy Ripcord is a fast-paced and entertaining story of two elderly women whose unlikely rivalry is pushed along by a comic cosmic force with a wicked sense of humour.
The production blends sharp wit with moments of playful mischief and unexpected heart. Director Alee Reed, recently arrived from New York, says she is delighted to be making her directorial debut with such a lively and meaningful play.
Presented by Jávea Players, performances will take place at the Jávea Players Studio from 20 to 25 April at 7.30pm each evening.
Tickets are priced at €12.50, with the box office opening on 20 March. For further information and bookings, see the website here.
