Xàbia’s road resurfacing plans moves into its second phase
Avenida Palmela begins three-day works as the local council advances its December improvement schedule.
Xàbia Council will continue through December with the second phase of its Road Resurfacing Plan, a project included in the municipal programme to improve the town’s road network and strengthen public services.
This new phase will begin on Monday 1st December, with resurfacing work on Avenida Palmela, one of the town’s main roads with heavy daily traffic. For this reason, the local council recommends that residents plan alternative routes while the work is underway to avoid possible delays and help ensure smooth progress. The work is expected to last three days.
After this first stage, work will continue throughout December in other areas of the municipality, including Camí del Pou del Moro, Carrer Huelva, Carrer Malta, Carrer Castellet, Carrer del Paradís, Calle Altea, and Vía Augusta (north canal area). Later, crews will also carry out work in Camí de les Basses and on the Carrer Cuesta de San Antonio, following this phased approach designed to minimize disruptions to mobility and guarantee efficient execution.
The schedule may be adjusted depending on technical factors or weather conditions. Even so, the aim is to maintain the planned pace and reduce any inconvenience. The local council has expressed its thanks to residents in advance for their cooperation and understanding and will provide updated information on temporary closures or traffic diversions through official municipal channels.
