Marina Alta’s most exclusive street isn’t even in the region’s priciest neighbourhood
Real estate portal Idealista also considers that the most expensive street in Spain is in a town in Andalusía, at more than 12 million euros.
House prices in the Comunidad Valenciana hit a record high in July 2025, averaging €2,271 per square metre, up from €1,203 in July 2015, according to data from the real estate website Idealista. Interestingly, in the Marina Alta, the priciest neighbourhood isn’t where you might expect and it doesn’t boast the most exclusive street, showing that luxury and high prices don’t always go hand in hand.
A recent study by a popular real estate portal has revealed Spain’s most expensive streets. Topping the list is a street in the Coto Zagaleta residential area of Benahavís, Málaga, where homeowners are asking an average of €12,366.85 per square metre.
The portal also breaks down the data by autonomous community, revealing that the most expensive street in the entire Comunidad Valenciana is in the Marina Alta. Calle Puerto Andraitx in Moraira commands an average house price of €4.96 million. Nestled in the heart of the Cap d’Or / Punta de Moraira area, it’s undoubtedly one of the jewels of the region’s coastline.
Since 2002, Cap d’Or has been part of the Valencian Community’s network of flora microreserves and the European Natura 2000 Network of Sites of Community Interest (SCI), as part of the Penyasegats de la Marina. However, the homes there don’t primarily overlook the rich vegetation or historic sites like Cova de la Cendra or Torre Vigía. Instead, they face the sea, with views over the popular Cala El Portet, the town of Moraira, and the iconic Peñon d’Ifach in Calp dominating the horizon.
Looking beyond individual streets to entire neighborhoods, the most expensive street in Moraira isn’t actually in the Marina Alta’s priciest neighborhood. That distinction goes further south to the Arenal-Bol beach area in Calp, where prices reach €5,504.70 per square metre. This neighborhood, stretching between Calle la Niña and Calle Benitatxell, and from Avenida de Rumanía to the coast near Les Salines, is predominantly made up of apartment buildings.
