Lliga À Punt Comunitat – Grup Sud

With CD BUÑOL and HÉRCULES CF B having secured automatic promotion to the TERCERA FEDERACIÓN as champions of their respective groups, this weekend saw the 2nd and 3rd place teams in each group play the second leg games in the semi-final play-offs to determine who would join them.

And it will be CF RECAMBIOS COLÓN CATARROJA and CD ONDA, both from Group Nord, who will be preparing for the play-off final. CF Recambios defeated CFI Alicante 3-1 on aggregate whilst CD Onda drew 4-4 on aggregate with UD Benigànim and then went on to win 4-2 on penalties.

Primera FFCV – Grupo 4

CD JÁVEA clinched their first championship for 35 years after a 2-0 win at Callosa Deportiva CF, their fourth victory in a row, in front of a travelling red-and-white army which supported the team loudly for the entire 90 minutes. The last goal of this successful campaign scored by Javi Berenguer on 66 minutes, the one which allowed that support to lift their voices even higher, proved to be a contender for goal-of-the-season, the midfielder dribbling Messi-like into a crowded box before smashing the ball into the roof of the net.

The victory meant that MUTXAMEL CF’s goal feast at home to CD MONTESINOS – they scored seven goals, their biggest victory of the season – only served to secure them the play-off spot and they will be awaited the FFCV draw to see who they will face – CD Vall d’Alba (Group 1), UD Aldaia CF (Group 2) or CF Promeses Sueca (Group 3).
