Demonstrating their commitment to the local community, Jávea Lodge No.40 has presented a cheque for €3,000 to the Asociación Autismo de Jávea at a dinner for the charity Todos Juntos Jávea.
The dinner, held on Thursday 22nd May to mark the closure of Todos Juntos Jávea after 14 years of serving the community of Jávea, was attended by over 100 guests, including the Mayor of Jávea, Rosa Cardona.
Lodge Secretary, Malcolm March formally presented the donation to Rubén Sanchez Perucha, Director of the Asociación Autismo de Jávea. Malcolm remarked, “Charity is at the very heart of what Freemasonry stands for. The members of Jávea Lodge No. 40 are honoured to support the Asociación Autismo de Jávea in its efforts to enhance the lives of autistic children.”
Mr. Sanchez Perucha expressed his sincere gratitude for the generous contribution and explained that the funds will be dedicated to modernising the equipment used for the Summer School outdoor activities. He noted, “For autistic children, continuity is vital; it is essential to minimize any lengthy breaks in their education and therapy and this money will help us achieve that.”
This donation underlines Jávea Lodge No. 40’s ongoing commitment to the local community and supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with autism and their families.
