Xàbia will switch on its Christmas lights this Friday

Everyone is encouraged to come out and take a walk to see them whilst also supporting local businesses who need out support more than ever.

Christmas in Xàbia will start this Friday. That’s when the festive lights that have been installed in the streets and public spaces will be switched on. The traditional decorations will also be ready by the weekend with the trees going up in the church square in the heart of the historic centre, in Avenida Jaime I in the port and on the promenade of the Arenal beach.

The Council has been preparing so that this year, an extraordinary year for everyone, the decorations will be up earlier than usual and even increased to create a comfortable environment to encourage residents to take a walk through the different zones of Xàbia, to visit local businesses that dearly need our support during this health crisis, and to become aware of how important it is to make those Christmas purchases locally, that this Christmas campaign is going to be the key to the survival of local businesses.

The lights will be switched on this Friday 20th November at 6.30pm, although there will be no special switching on ceremony in order to avoid the gathering of people.
